Terms and Conditions 2010

Booking Confirmation Deposit: A credit card number, expiry date and last 3 digits on the back, together with name, address and contact number will secure booking.

Credit-Card: Payment in full required for bookings within 4 weeks of arrival. 25% deposit will reserve the cottage with full balance 4 weeks in advance. A confirmation of booking will be issued upon receipt. Your stay is restricted to the dates that have been agreed in advance.

Bank Transfer: Whilst payment by electronic transfer is accepted - we can advance our details to you on request - reservation is confirmed only after transfer has been received. In addition, please note the following applies: 25% deposit; €10 transaction fee for non-euro transfers ;.

Cancellation: In the event of cancellation, the following charges will apply; up to 4 weeks before arrival - 40% of total rental charge; 3 weeks before arrival date - 50% of total rental charge; 2 weeks before arrival date or less - 100% of total rental charge. Please note that only the first €100 will apply in the event that we secure another booking.

Heating: Heating, if required, is an additional €6 /night.

Security Deposit: €100 or credit card details must be provided on arrival. Any damage should be notified to the caretaker, and appropriate remedial measure/payment will apply.

Cleaning: Our cleaning service provides general floor and bathroom cleaning, but does not include oven/hob/exceptional cleaning. Failure to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition will result in a cleaning charge being deducted from your credit card. Please note that we are pleased to provide a full service if you require hassle-free stay. Cleaning of the cottage during rental must be requested from the manager and a fee applies.

Arrival/Departure: Possession of the cottage must be taken after 15.30hrs or by arrangement. Failure to notify the caretaker of late arrival could result in loss of reservation. The cottage must be vacated on or before 11.00am - strictly on the day of departure. Out of season it may be possible to arrange otherwise - please consult. Failure to depart on time will incur a late departure charge of €65. Lost keys incur a replacement cost.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

Liability: The Management of The Old Milking Parlour reserve the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of final payment. The Old Milking Parlour, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or personal injury which may be sustained by persons or property at any time during the reserved stay. The Old Milking Parlour and its employees are not responsible for any loss of valuables or property left in the cottage, or on site during the stay or on arrival/departure.

Complaint: In the unlikely event of a complaint, this must be made to the caretaker in writing within 7 days of departure, having given the supervisor an opportunity to rectify any shortcomings during the stay.

Behaviour: The number of persons stated at reservation must not be exceeded without prior permission. Management of The Old Milking Parlour reserve the right to terminate this contract particularly if behaviour or conduct of the guest either prior to or during a holiday is likely to endanger the safety or well being of other guests, or that of the guest himself/herself.

Supervision: Parents are requested to supervise their children. Use of the owner's play equipment is not permitted without parent's attendance at all times. The Old Milking Parlour will not accept responsibility for accident or injury to persons using the play equipment and this is a condition of use of any play equipment on site.
